About CESJ

The Centre for Environment and Social Justice (CESJ) is a non-governmental organization based in Aizawl, Mizoram, India, dedicated to promoting environmental justice, sustainability, and social justice. The organization was officially registered on January 11th, 2023, after several years of working on environmental and social issues. CESJ was founded by a group of environmental activists who were concerned about the deteriorating state of the environment in Mizoram and its impact on the health and well-being of the people. CESJ is legally registered under the Mizoram Society Registration Act 2005 (Act No. 13th of 2005).
